Sladefest 09 will take place on 16th May 2009 at the New Springvale Club Millfields Rd Bilston Wolverhampton.
If you have never been to a previous Sladefest what can you expect? A chance to meet, chat and make new friends (or old ones) with other Slade fans from across the world and to feel the noize with the
Proceedings will kick off at 12 noon at the
A Slade exhibition will be open between 4pm – 6pm. This will be followed by fans competing for the rAN & Nik Emery sheild in the usual Slade quiz.
Paul Cookson will again be in attendance reading some new Slade poems.
Something new for this year, will see a charity benefit from some amazing Slade related items, the charity chosen will be Acorns Childrens Hospice in nearby Walsall.
I can exclusively reveal 1 item has been made by Leandra Holder
which is a Rock 'N' Roll charm bracelet/ necklace which Leandra has kindly donated for this event
And the masterpiece of this charity package is a fully signed oil painting effect framed picture of the cinema poster for the bands 1975 film Slade In Flame which as been signed by all four original members of the band Noddy Holder, Jim Lea, Dave Hill & Don Powell.
To be the lucky winner of these 1 off items which are unique to this event you need to attend Sladefest 09, raffle tickets are priced at £5 each or £20 for a strip of 5 and are only available inside the venue.
Entrance to Sladefest 09 will be by ticket only priced £10 and only available by e mail.
